While sulking after the most recent argument I had with you-know-who, my 14″ screen glared at me. It spoke to me to about the futility of spilt-milk. My fingers moved caressingly over the keyboard and I found real gems on relationships. How convenient!

I said to myself,”I have the same thoughts and I feel the same way. Then why did I not think of writing these very words?”

The fact is: I must have thought about them but did not put those thoughts into words.

These quotes on relationships are thoughtfully crafted by someone else and beautifully compiled by me.

1) “Oh, the comfort – the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person – having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.” ~Dinah Craik, A Life for a Life, 1859

2)”There’s one sad truth in life I’ve found
While journeying east and west –
The only folks we really wound
Are those we love the best.
We flatter those we scarcely know,
We please the fleeting guest,
And deal full many a thoughtless blow
To those who love us best.”
~Ella Wheeler Wilcox

3)”Don’t smother each other. No one can grow in the shade.” ~Leo Buscaglia

4)”When something is missing in your life, it usually turns out to be someone.” ~Robert Brault

5)”To know when to go away and when to come closer is the key to any lasting relationship.” ~Doménico Cieri Estrada
6) “No man is worth your tears, but once you find one that is, he won’t make you cry”

Nice quotes Prachi. The thing about relationships is that we take most of them for granted and realize how important they are the day the person or relationship ceases to exist.
