Meet Prachi

Prachi Jain is a writer of short stories and poems who has officially traded her “impeccable procrastinator” badge for a lifetime membership in the “Wait, why did I walk into this room?” club. As a devoted mother to two professional eye-rollers and a self-proclaimed guru of skincare and questionable home remedies, she somehow balances a chaotic life of volunteering, working, socializing, and aggressive outfit coordination.

She works in the digital ecosystem and dedicates the last 10 minutes of her daily free time to learning the French language.

Prachi is a proud member of Women Who Write, a New Jersey based writing organization.

Her work has appeared in The Huffington PostAscent AspirationsVending Machine PressSix Sentences, and Brown Girl Magazine. She also maintains this blog where she deconstructs literary devices and poses deep, puzzling questions that she spends entirely too much time trying to answer.

She is thankful for her ability to rethink every consensus and reevaluate every opposition.

    Hi,
Are you the Prachi Jain that once submitted a pitch to HQ magazine? Please contact me at your convenience… Love the blog.

    1. Hi Mike,

Yes I am the one that once submitted to HQ Magazine. Thanks for liking my blog. I would have loved to write for the magazine but I heard from Denise that the magazine will not be printed any more.

      Best,
      Prachi

I loved your piece on Vending Machine Press. The contrast of the two friends’ lives — the pain inflicted and endured by both — was powerfully rendered. Will look forward to reading more of your work!
